I am Chief Inácio of the Huni-Kuin people, one of the leaders who currently represents 187 families and 887 individuals.

We live in the forest, we belong to the forest, we are rooted; we are an authentic people, as the Huni-Kuin still say today.

I am a defender of the traditional culture of my people.

We have strengthened our culture, passed it on, and today we transmit it to our youth, to our people, to reinforce its value.

This is one of my goals as an indigenous leader.

Today, we’ve also fostered cultural and spiritual encounters among the peoples of this indigenous land for collective strengthening.

In doing so, we’ve shown how deeply we honor our ancient culture and traditions by establishing this bond.

This partnership includes our friends, our Brazilian brothers, and foreigners from Europe, with whom we share this union.

We transmit the traditional knowledge of our peoples, such as sacred medicines, healing, shamanism, craftsmanship, and gastronomy.

Today, we reinforce our traditions, our stories, our wisdom, and also our ancestral medicine.

We already work with baptism, sacred baptism, and the use of sacred medicines.
