Corpomagüa is an association that supports Indigenous peoples of the Amazon in protecting their lands, passing on their knowledge, and building bridges with those who want to stand alongside them.

The Amazon rainforest is not just a green lung: it is the home of peoples who have protected it for thousands of years. Today, this forest and its guardians are threatened by deforestation, mining, and land grabbing.

Corpomagüa was born from real ties, woven on the ground: with the Huni Kuin people in the Brazilian Amazon, and with partner communities in Ecuador and Colombia. We do not speak for these peoples: we relay their needs, we carry their projects, and we raise the means to support them concretely.

Our action is built around three pillars:

Directly supporting communities — such as the Escola Viva Txana Huya, the Huni Kuin people's school of life, whose infrastructure needs to be renovated and expanded.

Protecting territories — by identifying, purchasing, and placing under protection threatened lands, such as our ongoing project in Colombia.

Building cultural bridges — by organizing visits from Indigenous representatives to France for conferences and shared moments, and by preparing future immersions in the Amazon.

Our Vision

Immersion with the Huni Kuin people

I am Chief Inácio, of the Huni-Kuin people. I am one of the leaders who today represent 187 families, that is 887 people.

We live in the forest, we belong to the forest. We are rooted in it — that is what makes us an authentic people, as the Huni-Kuin still say today.

I am a defender of my people's traditional culture. We have strengthened it, we have passed it on, and today we continue passing it on to our young people so that it keeps its full value. This is one of my goals as an Indigenous chief.

We have also fostered cultural and spiritual encounters between the peoples of this Indigenous land, in this spirit of mutual strengthening. This is how we honor our ancient culture and customs, by weaving these bonds — with our Brazilian brothers, but also with friends who came from Europe, with whom we share this union.

We pass on our people's traditional knowledge: sacred medicines, healing, shamanism, craftsmanship, gastronomy. We keep our stories, our knowledge, our ancestral medicine alive.

Amazon Immersions — Coming Soon

We are preparing immersive retreats in the Amazon, to live alongside the Huni Kuin people, receive care from their traditional healers, and take part in tree-planting and community life. Every future retreat will directly help fund our projects on the ground.
